I imagine the film easily yields to many different interpretations. It is xagitab rather difficult film; of course what I present here is merely my personal experience of the work. I can just close my eyes and imagine am listening to a concerto.

‘Dagitab’ (2014): counter-romantic, poetic
Seriously, the words in this movie is music to my ears and the quiet scenes are both visual and emotional treat. As for Nonie Buencamino, there is a consistent calmness in his portrayal of Jimmy but one can still differentiate the changes in emotions of his character throughout the film.
It follows Sid who suffers from insomnia and meets Aya who he hires to accompany him in his sleepless nights. Dagitab 's synopsis didn't make me giddy when I first read it. To others, perhaps it does; but to them, not. Eula Valdez and Nonnie Buencamino they are both perfect for the role.
But something about its trailer that's mystifying and then I watched the film and I went out of the theater thinking that this is one hell of a movie. An anti-drug enforcement agency stages a massive drug bust in the slums of Manila. Will it disappoint me as an avid fan of Valdez and Buencamino?
